How to enjoy planning your wedding!

1. Don’t try to do it all on your own!

You might feel the need to do everything on your own or you are like me and have a hard time letting go of control but trust me when I tell you the second you realize you can’t do it all and you get help you will enjoy planning your wedding so much more! But how do I get help? There are a few things you can do to get help. 1. You can hire a planner or even a day of coordinator!(If you need suggestions I have a few that are awesome) 2. Ask your mom/family! They love you and would be happy to help anyway they can! This season in your life should be full of joy and excitement not stress!

2. Make a list

Oh goody! Did someone say make a list!! I love list!! I highly recommend making a list of must haves and would like to haves! This will help you stay on track with what matters to you on your wedding day!

3. Don’t try to do everything at once

You get engaged and the next day you feel this pressure to have everything planned out asap!! Instead of trying to plan everything out in one day get a calendar and write down dates you want to have things done by!

12-9 months before the wedding have the venue,photographer/videographer and planner booked. Decide who will be in your wedding party!

9-8 months before the wedding have the cater,dj/band, florist and cake booked Go dress shopping!

8-6 months before the wedding create the guest list and meet with planner to go over décor ideas!

6-4 months before the wedding schedule your engagement picture and or bridals!

4-2 months before nail down the food, décor and get schedule from your photographer and order invitations!

2-1 month before wedding send out invites and get RSVPs to cater and planner!

Month of wedding sit back and soak it all in!!

4. Ask your vendors advice

They have done A LOT of weddings and have seen it all! We have an eye for what looks great and what doesn’t! We love when you ask our opinions and want to help anyway we can!

5. Have someone hold you accountable and keep you sane

This can be your maid of honor, a family member or even someone who will just be a guest at the wedding who you can trust!

During the wedding planning process just remember this is a short season in your life and instead of wishing it away try to enjoy it all! It is all going to work out!
